Welcome to Finn McCool a place where you can enjoy beach walking, swimming, kayaking, reading, sunning or sharing a meal and a glass of wine. Located on the “North” end of Madeline Island about a 20-minute drive from the Ferry Dock in downtown La Pointe, Finn McCool is named after the sunken dredge “Finn McCool” lying on the lake bed in front of the cottage shore. The property features 400 feet of private sugar sand beach along with a fire pit to enjoy the quiet evenings.
Finn McCool is literally 75 feet from the shores of Lake Superior and the cabin features 1 bedroom, a full bath, full kitchen and small living area which overlooks and connects to the lake side deck. This is a place to leave your computer and to-do list miles away.

- Additional towels for going to the beach (bath towels provided are for use inside the property not to be taken outside or to the beach)

The communications with the team were great, all the information that we needed was provided.

This was ther perfect getaway for my wife, myself, and Emma(our golden retriever). We would turn around and Emma would be down on the beach running in the waves. The beach was just outside the door and it was wonderful just relaxing , listening to the waves rolling in all night long. It is the perfect place to relax and disconnect from the outside world for a few days. We are planning on coming back next year.
