Accidental Damage Waiver Insurance

Damages & Damage Waiver Fee:

As a part of your stay, you may purchase a Vacation Rental Damage Protection plan designed to cover unintentional damages to the rental unit interior that occur during your stay provided they are disclosed to management prior to check-out. If purchased, the policy will pay a maximum benefit of $3,000.00. Any damages that exceed $3,000.00 or are not covered under the plan will be charged to the credit card on file. If, during your stay at one of our rental properties, an insured person causes any damage to real or personal property of the unit as a result of inadvertent acts or omissions, the Insurer will reimburse the Insured for the cost of repair or replacement of such property up to a maximum benefit of $3,000.00. Certain terms and conditions apply. Full details of the Vacation Rental Damage coverage are contained in the Description of Coverage or Insurance Policy www.vacationrentalinsurance.com/g20vrd. The Vacation Rental Damage plan can be purchased up to, and including at, check-in. By submitting payment for this plan, you authorize and request CSA Travel Protection and Insurance Services to pay directly Madeline Island Vacations any amount payable under the terms and conditions of the Vacation Rental Damage. Please contact Madeline Island Vacations directly if you do not wish to participate in this assignment. In the event you do not wish to purchase this plan, a $500.00 security deposit is required.

All renters are responsible for any damages or theft at our rental properties.  Additional charges may apply for items such as abuse, damage above normal wear & tear, pet damage, theft and additional cleaning costs when necessary.  In lieu of a security deposit many of our properties are subject to a $45.00 Damage Waiver Fee for reported accidental damage. 

The Damage Waiver Fee provides up to $3,000 of coverage; and, is applicable to all properties with the exception of the category of:
Motels/Suites/Studios/Apartments
Damage not reported to MIV will not be covered by this fee; and, the renter of the property will be liable for all costs associated with any unreported damage. Intentional damage and pet damage is not covered by this fee. 

WHAT IF SOMETHING HAPPENS?
Simply report any damage that occurred during your stay to your property management
company when you leave.
Don’t be afraid to report the damage---that’s why you buy insurance!
This plan provides insurance coverage for your trip that applies only during the covered trip. You may have coverage from other sources that provides you with similar benefits but may be subject to different restrictions depending upon your other
coverages.
